Our laying hens and a few roosters live their long and happy life of grazing and scratching outside on fresh grass, weeds and bugs. Our “Ladies” roam freely within a large perimeter electric fence which protects them from land predators. Barefoot Gardens started as an idea when we moved from Eugene OR to Bucks County PA in 2003. At the time there were no CSA‟s in the county. We began our search and in 2007 we found a piece of land to lease which is 1-1/2 miles from our house in town.
